3.Preguntas frecuentes

¿Cuándo se usa el Future Perfect?

El Future Perfect se forma con will have + participio (past participle) y expresa una acción que estará terminada antes de un momento futuro. Por ejemplo: "I will have finished the project by Friday." Suele ir con by: by then, by next June, by the time you arrive. También sirve para contar el tiempo hasta un punto futuro ("By December, she will have worked here for five years") o para mostrar que estás seguro de que algo estará terminado: "He will certainly have left by the time we get there."

Future Perfect o Future Simple: ¿"I will cook dinner" o "I will have cooked dinner"?

Las dos son correctas, pero significan cosas distintas: el Future Simple dice qué pasará; el Future Perfect, que ya estará hecho para entonces. Compara "When you get home, I will cook dinner" (empiezo a cocinar cuando llegas) con "By the time you get home, I will have cooked dinner" (la cena está lista cuando llegas). Con by también es posible el Future Simple ("I will finish it by Friday"), pero el Future Perfect subraya que la acción estará terminada.

¿Es correcto decir "She will has finished" en Future Perfect?

No, di "She will have finished": en el Future Perfect, will va seguido de have con todos los sujetos y después del participio (past participle). No uses la forma en -ing ni la forma base después de have: "He will have completed it", no "He will have completing it" ni "He will have complete it". Los verbos irregulares necesitan su tercera forma: "They will have gone", no "They will have went". La negativa usa won't have ("They won't have arrived by noon") y la pregunta empieza por will: "Will she have finished by then?"

¿"By the time you arrive" o "by the time you will arrive" con el Future Perfect?

Di "by the time you arrive": después de by the time se usa el Present Simple, y el Future Perfect va en la oración principal. Por ejemplo: "By the time you arrive, we will have eaten", no "By the time you will arrive, we will have eaten". La misma regla vale después de before y when: "I will have left before you get there." Will va en la oración principal, la que dice qué estará terminado.

Future Perfect o Past Perfect: ¿"will have finished" o "had finished"?

Usa el Future Perfect (will have finished) para mirar atrás desde un momento futuro, y el Past Perfect (had finished), desde uno pasado. Compara "By next June, she will have finished her degree" (junio aún está por llegar) con "By last June, she had finished her degree" (junio ya pasó). No mezcles las dos formas: "She will had finished" es incorrecto. Después de will siempre va have.
