2.Preguntas frecuentes

¿Swam o swum?

Di "He swam across the river yesterday" y "He has swum across the river", no "He swum across the river" ni "He has swam across the river".

Hurt y cost funcionan igual: "hurt - hurt - hurt", "cost - cost - cost". Di "I cut my finger yesterday", no "I cutted my finger yesterday", y "She hurt her leg", no "She hurted her leg".

Compara "I usually read in the evening" (suena /riːd/) con "I read that book last week" y "I have read it twice" (los dos suenan /red/).

¿Hung o hanged?

Di "He hung his coat on the hook" y "We have hung the pictures on the wall", no "He hanged his coat on the hook".

¿Burnt o burned, dreamt o dreamed?

La misma forma sirve para el Past Simple y para el participio pasado: "I burned the toast" o "I burnt the toast", "She has dreamed of this day" o "She has dreamt of this day".
